Living with Elliot?

Should JD's and Elliot's living situation after they get married be specified? I think it's kind of weird that they work in places that are hours away from each other. (75.150.217.29 00:56, October 6, 2010 (UTC))

  • Hours away? its 37 minutes one way, and of course it looks like they moved again anyway since My Finale judging by the layout of their bedroom so maybe closer for Elliot, how is that weird anyway to commute to work? --Remlap1986 01:41, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

Rename?

  • I know his legal name is "Jonathan Dorian", but since 90% of the time he is called "J.D." (9% is a girls name, .05% is "Q-tip"), I propose we move this bad boy to plain ol' "J.D." -- Ohmyn0 06:18, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
    • Possibly, but all the other characters have their full names, so changing it may make the character format look a bit strange. But you could possibly change it if you think it would be better.

First name.

How do you know his name is Jonathan Dorian, not Johnathan Dorian with the an "h" included.

Nicknames

Can somebody please add these three:

They fall under List of J.D.'s girl names --Remlap1986 16:14, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

Please do not add any more here, but rather to the article itself, as long as you know the episode to crossref. --Ohmyn0 (talk) 20:48, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Relationship Status

Quote Bill Lawrence: The flash-forward epilogue just showed J.D. and Elliott together, and I'll stay true to that. Those two will still be together. But next season won't be about tracing that relationship [1]

It is clear that the implied flash-forward is now canon, we may never see their actual wedding or hear of it from other characters to say they are married, is it possible we could have say "Relationship - Dating Elliot Reid (Future Wife)" same for Elliot with Husband obviously.

I know this may sound stupid but we will need to settle on their relationship status sooner or later.

Cheers

  • We've always categorized fantasies in their own sections, so I'm not sold on mentioning any of the projected-future details in the character's bios. I think that it is worth mentioning in a section somewhere (such as in Sam Perry Gilligan Dorian). My vote is to leave his infobox with information that has only happens in the episodes (or webisodes) or the series. If J.D. proposes to Elliot in S9, then I say we update it. But until then, I say we leave it. Other thoughts? I'd like to see more people's opinions. --Ohmyn0 (talk) 01:56, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
    • Hi thanks for responding so quickly, there is problem with this, I think the show simply won't show that happening, for one like Bill mentioned and secondly out of fear of spoiling the book of love scene. But a section on the flash-forward would be fine. 02:05, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
      • I see Elliot has a clear future section [2] So is it possible that it can be ported to J.D's? Thanks -Remlap1986 21:10, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Let's go ahead and add it. --Ohmyn0 (talk) 04:51, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
    • Awesome, thanks very much mate. -Remlap1986 09:29, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Aliments

JD did have vasovagal syncope in My Perspective, maybe it should be added to aliments?

An addidtion

Someone, add it that J.D. doesn't have gay jungle fever. It's true, it's in the begining of My Cake

Fix a typo

In the trivia section, the line "Once almost got married to a gay man who hung out on his Half-acre but then escaped and got arrested for running on to the stage where the Blue Man Group preformed whilst painted blue." has a typo. It should be PERFORMED not PREFORMED. I would edit it but it won't let me. Hypohamish 09:03, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

  • Fixed. Although you should be able to fix it too as you're a registered user and editing on the page is only disallowed for anonymous users who are not logged in. --chrisis123 09:20, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
    • Thanks. The only bit it will let me edit is the "Character History" section, I see no edit buttons for anywhere else Hypohamish 09:26, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
      • Ah right, you're a new user so that's probably why you weren't able to edit. No worries, you should be able to edit all semi-protected articles soon. Also welcome to Scrubs Wiki! --chrisis123 11:40, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

Left Handed?

He says at the beginning of "My butterfly" when he misses the pen thrown at him that he's left handed. Edit: ignore this one he says later in the episode he's a righty...so we don't know which is true.

Simple solution would to be watch a couple of episodes and see which hand he writes on charts with etc :) Hypohamish 06:56, July 22, 2010 (UTC)
I've noticed that people who are right-handed wear their watches on their left arm, which J.D. does. -- GrouchMan (Send a note then scram!! P.S. Have a rotten day!!!!) 16:24, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
And many people who are left-handed wear their watches on their left arm so as not to stick out. - Geon olam 03:54, June 29, 2012 (UTC)

Trivia

If I´m not mistaken, there are two version of how JD and Turk met first (in "My Kingdom", 2.19 and "My changing ways" 4.25)

Also, there is one episode where he says he got his car "Malique" (did I spell that right???) when he was 16, and one, where he tells a patient that he didn´t have a car in college (I don´t know the episodes from the top of my head, sorry)

Should those two things be added to trivia? -- Alma (not registered)

Women with a wedding ring seem to be invisible to J.D. (My urologist)

Mozoa 13:46, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

Expect his wife, Carla and Jordan maybe ;) --Remlap1986 14:45, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

Ben's death

Did Cox ever apologize to J.D. for unfairly blaming him for Ben's death? -- GrouchMan (Send a note then scram!! P.S. Have a rotten day!!!!) 19:51, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah...because that sounds exactly like Dr. Cox haha. (75.150.217.29 00:52, October 6, 2010 (UTC))
Very funny. I'm serious. -- GrouchMan (Send a note then scram!! P.S. Have a rotten day!!!!) 17:09, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Replacement for Tabview

Lets admit it - tabview kinda blows. How should we change it? I'm thinking a quick paragraph about each season with links to a further history, i.e. "John Dorian in Season One". Ohmyn0 @fandom (talk) 02:22, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

Rename

It's that time of the year again... time to talk about renaming this article (and other character articles). Way back when in 2007 when I started revamping this site I named all the articles FIRST LAST for consistency, with redirects from popular nicknames (i.e. "J.D." redirects to "John Dorian"). This is silly, because no one searches for "John Dorian".

Search term JD John Dorian JD scrubs John Dorian scrubs
Google searches 4,090,000 8,100 22,200 890
Current rank 13 3 14* 2

I want to do some testing with article titles for J.D., Dr. Cox, and Dr. Kelso. We'll change John Dorian to J.D., Perry Cox to Dr. Cox and Robert Kelso to Dr. Robert Kelso. We can then measure the change between kelso/cox ranking and see if including the first name hurts or helps. The other main characters don't have popular nicknames. Is anyone opposed? --Ohmyn0 @fandom (talk) 17:23, March 30, 2011 (UTC)

It is very obvious the page title for J.D. is limiting the rankings on Google, but for Kelso and Cox I am not sure if it makes a difference. I am neither for nor against the change to be honest. --Remlap1986 17:48, March 30, 2011 (UTC)
Just checked our rankings of Kelso and Cox - we're rocking those pretty hard. Only competition is Wikipedia. I'll change J.D. now. We'll have to do a little cleanup on the site to fix redirects and such. Appreciate any help you can give. Ohmyn0 @fandom (talk) 18:21, March 30, 2011 (UTC)
I just checked our current ranks, so we can see if anything interesting happens. If this trend is good, we'll want to change all related categories and pages and such. For "JD Scrubs" our entire site ranks #2 (which is awesome) but I want to get our character page up there too. Ohmyn0 @fandom (talk) 18:31, March 30, 2011 (UTC)
It is very clear Scrubs Wiki is very easy to find on Google which is fantastic and credit to everyone here --Remlap1986 19:17, March 30, 2011 (UTC)
