Paul was born in Massachusetts. Paul met fellow Blank Sam Lloyd at Syracuse University where they began to sing A Capella together, eventually forming The Blanks. Paul has written and performed songs for a variety of things, including Christmas with the Kranks and The Book of Pooh. Other than Scrubs, Paul has appeared in the film Miami Shakedown.
