Mrs. Stonewater was checked into Sacred Heart by her son Dan Stonewater. When she commented that she was afraid J.D. was going to hit her, Van told J.D. that his mother wasn't acting the same and he was deeply concerned. She continued to show signs of paranoia about J.D. wrestling and tickling her. When her diagnosis came back, Huntington's Disease, J.D. had to break that bad news to Van that the degenerative brain disease was untreatable, and genetic. (My Finale)
