Mr. Hoffner was caught in an argument between Dr. Cox and J.D. when J.D. did not offer him a surgical consult. After asking Turk to agree with whatever he thought, Turk changes his mind as the surgical consult and reccommends surgery. After thinking it over and talking to other people, such as the Janitor, Mr. Hoffner chooses surgery.
