Michael was born in New Jersey and raised in Brooklyn. He has directed, among others, episodes of Sex in the City, The Bernie Mac Show, Jake in Progress, Ugly Betty, Better Off Ted, Bill Lawrence's Cougar Town and The Middle with Neil Flynn. He has also worked as a cinematographer.
