Bio[]
Mandy, full name Amanda, was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on April 10, 1984 to Don, airline pilot and former news reporter Stacy Moore. From a very young age she had wanted to be involved in show-business and became known for her singing. At 15, her first record "So Real" was released. Her first tour was with the Backstreet Boys. She prides herself for not having to "show her midriff" to sell records.
Her acting career began in 1996 when she starred in the film Street Rats. Five years later she had a role in the film The Princess Diaries, and the next year was the lead in the film A Walk to Remember, the film which really launched her acting career. Over the next several years, she starred in the films Try Seventeen, Chasing Liberty, Racing Stripes, Saved!, and How to Deal. Her most recent roles were in the comedy License to Wed and a cameo in an episode of How I Met Your Mother.
