Kathryn Joosten is the actress who plays Mrs. Tanner on Scrubs.

Kathryn decided to become an actress when her mother died of cancer in 1963. Her big break came in thanks to a role she got in Disney World, which led her to Hollywood. Kathryn has been a member of the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago. She is best known for her recurring roles in The West Wing, Desperate Housewifes, Joan of Arcadia, and Dharma & Greg.
