When Mrs. Farr was admitted, J.D. was just beginning his third year of residency at Sacred Heart. At first, he had no idea what was ailing her. He rallied his friends late on a Friday night to help him out. After running some tests, they still didn't know what was wrong. Eventually, Dr. Cox came in and helped the young doctors find the solution. He then took all the credit from Mrs. Farr and her family. ("My Own American Girl")
