Because he was divorced from his wife, Mr. Frances only had custody of his son of some weekends. One day with his son, his son began to hurt so he brought him into Sacred Heart Hospital. Being deaf, Janitor had to come in and sign to help communicate between J.D. and Turk. When Mr. Frances was offered to have his son receive a cochlear implant to help him hear, he turned it down.
