Jerry is a patient who roams around Sacred Heart. He has Cotard delusion, or walking corpse syndrome, meaning that he believes he is dead when even though he is walking around. Jerry is constantly narrating his thoughts, not in an inner monologue like J.D., but out loud. He seems to be oblivious to the world around him, as when Carla tries to vent her frustrations to him, he doesn't give advice but simply narrates that he "wishes he could help her." ("My Lucky Charm")
