[edit] About
Dr. Lamar and three other doctors, Dr. Douglas, Dr. Bailey, and Dr. Franklyn were at a conference together and all contracted Legionnaires' Pneumonia. They all shared a bed at Sacred Heart, and J.D. was an intern assigned to them. They frightened him with stories of doctors who had gotten sick because of patients, and had a good laugh when J.D. left frightened. However, when J.D. admitted to Elliot that he was afraid of getting sick from a patient, he lost the respect of Dr. Lamar.
[edit] Trivia
- Stephen Furst, Ed Begley Jr., Eric Laneuville, and William Daniels were all regulars on the 1980s NBC show St. Elsewhere (with Laneuville as an orderly and the rest as doctors).
