[edit] About
Dr. Douglas and three other doctors, Dr. Bailey, Dr. Franklyn, and Dr. Lamar were at a conference together and all contracted Legionnaires' Pneumonia. They all shared a bed at Sacred Heart, and J.D. was an intern assigned to them. They frightened him with stories of doctors who had gotten sick because of patients, and had a good laugh when J.D. left frightened. When Elliot froze up telling Dr. Douglas what to do, he finished her sentence for her with his expertise. When J.D. admitted to Elliot that he was afraid of getting sick from a patient, he lost the respect of Dr. Douglas.
[edit] Trivia
- Stephen Furst, Ed Begley Jr., Eric Laneuville, and William Daniels were all doctors on the 1980s NBC show St. Elsewhere.
